A Gold Medalist in Fashion Designing (Batch 1996), she was honored for her excellence by Kumari Shailja, then Union Minister of State for Education and Culture. That moment symbolized talent, dedication, and a bright professional future.
Yet life had other plans.
Due to family responsibilities and unavoidable circumstances, Mrs. Lata Sharma chose family over career. Dreams were set aside—not abandoned—but lovingly preserved within her heart. Even during those years, her creative spirit never rested. She remained deeply passionate about making, designing, learning, and creating something of her own.
Cooking became her canvas.
In her kitchen, she found comfort, expression, and connection. A special bond with her mother-in-law became a source of wisdom, tradition, and learning. Every recipe carried stories, memories, and generations of love. She listened, observed, experimented—and slowly mastered the art of traditional flavors. What began as everyday cooking transformed into a deeper purpose.
In 2024, a simple, normal family conversation sparked something extraordinary—an idea to revive and share authentic traditional taste with purity and honesty. That small moment became the seed of a lifelong dream finally ready to bloom.
In 2025, that dream took form as Kanha Foods & Namkeen.
